Customer selection
In Danderyd's municipality customer selection, diversity and competition are guiding principles. The inhabitants of Danderyd shall by themselves be able to select the pre-school activity/school/after-school care that they consider being the best.

There are, besides municipal schools, also a number of independent schools in the municipality.
 
Through a system with school and child-care cheque, the municipality's resources are directed to the activities that the citizens choose.
